Friday 7 of April

This week in Rimu we did Art and we had to copy our favourite artwork on a piece of paper and then we had to get glue and some tissue paper and we had to make some slushy mixture and then we had to glue it to the parts that we wanted them to stick out.  This week we also did wild eyes we started doing our rainbow again from last week. Our one turned out really good and now we just need to paint the background blue. everything else was quite normal this week. 

Our camp trip

Hi my name is Mia from Yaldhurst school, a couple weeks ago we went to camp at Living springs from year 4 to year 6. We did lot's of activities and games, like archery, animal survival, bouldering, swimming, and some group challenge activities. We also went to the farm yard to have a look at animals.

31 march friday

This week in Rimu we have been working on our wild eyes on Tuesday me, Nikita, Bridget, made a junk artists but we didn’t have time to glue it. In the afternoon it was got ripped and somebody had taken all the beads out and ruined our artwork. After school we had to find all the beads and look for some even in the rubbish bin. Me Bridget and Nikita were very disappointed.

Also this week we did our NZ artists. First we had to find three famous NZ artists. ( artwork like paintings ) Then we had to pick a artists and one of there paintings that was your favourite. After that you had to copy that picture and then you had to copy it digitally.

Week 7 March the 24

This week we got to meet Jamie Duff, a sprint car racer he bought his sprint car in this huge truck and his other tractor thing. We got stickers and signatures on our stickers, Then we got to look around the truck and his other truck and his sprint car. We saw his logo on the front and we started laughing, but I told everybody that there was a bigger one at the back and we laughed even more. After, we got to go to the truck and take pictures in front of it. After that we got take photos with the stickers and then we got to do a reflection on Jamie Duff.

This week in Rimu we did camp booklets and talking about camp. We had a hole list of stuff that we had to bring and it was really long because we have to bring lot’s things just in case we get cold or we get hot. This week was quite cold but we still got into the pool at lunchtime swim.This week also on thursday we went swimming but only about ten of us because most people didn’t want to go into the pool because it was quite cold. But I still went in and it was freezing at first but afterwards it wasn’t that bad.

Week 5 3 of March

This week in Rimu class we had a lot of swimming play and skills. It is really fun because you get to have lunchtime swim and then you have your skills for about 10 minutes and then you get to have more free time. This week we had a challenge and we had to get into a group of somebody from each year group. We had 11 people in our group and we had to get across from the end of the little field then across to the other side with 4 tyres and a piece of wood but you can’t touch the floor and the wood can’t touch the floor. I had a really good time this week in Rimu.
