Maths how to: Adding fractions

This week in Rimu we had to make a DLO about adding fractions in my Maths group. I found these questions hard, but once I got the hang of it it was pretty easy. 

netiquette is part of our brain

Today on Cybersmart we learned about Netiquette. Netiquette is two words, Internet and Etiquette mixed together. Etiquette means that using your manners in the right way and it's talking clear. I used a Mindup to show it. Hope you enjoy!

Back to school again!

Term 3 September 14

On Monday I finally got to start Election Inquiry. Election Inquiry was all about Parties. We got into Party groups last week and I was in the National Party. I found it quite fun to do research then write things down. I had to write about Health care and what National wants to do with it. I also wrote their Achievements on Health. After that I asked if I could write about their Economy, they let me so I started of by going to their achievements for Economy and wrote about two sentences so far. I wrote the Health things on our document. I made a new slide to put for Economy. I found out that 200,000 jobs were created. Also I found out that they have supplied free doctor visits for under 13 and a check up before starting school. The thing that annoyed me was everyone kept asking me “why do you have that mask on” or “why do you have that thing on” because I had to wear a mask because I had been sick.

Thursday the 8 of August

This week William Pike stopped by at our school. He talked to us about lot’s of things. The year seven and eights showed him what they did for their William Pike challenge.

This week was quite busy for me because on Thursday I had to be on the mat for the whole morning and I couldn’t get thing done so I had to work really fast and especially type really fast. We’ve started to add lot’s of notes and I had to do lot’s of notes because I had to be on the mat for the whole morning.

But sadly we didn’t have Mark and kelsey (our computer teachers) because we were at netball zones last week so we didn’t get to meet kelsey and work with her.

Term 3 week 2 August the 3

This week I went to Netball Zones on Wednesday. We played five games and we lost all of them except for one. Two of the games we played was in the rain. I was relieved that I was a sub on the first game in the rain, but the next one I had to play as attack, it was even harder to play because I had never been Attack before. After the last game it was twelve and we went into the shelter and tried to make a penguin pod with a blanket, but sadly it didn’t work out that well. People started to leave and I was eating my lunch. We decided to try the penguin pod again this time 3 people sat on one side and two people sat on the other side sitting on the balls. Finally the bus came and we went back to school.
