Mia Acrostic Poem

WALT: Write an acrostic poem about yourself
Topic: Me
Audience: Kauri class, whanau, worldwide blog audience.
Purpose: To tell people about yourself.
Text type: Poetic
Key vocabulary, terms and instructions:

Adjectives: Are describing words
Keep it positive
Try and write more than one word per line if possible
Structure:

Write an acrostic poem using your name: At least 5 lines

Example:

Loving and kind to others
Intelligent and Interesting
Special inside and out
Adventurous and an Angel
When you have finished please check it and get a buddy to check it too. Use google drawing or sumopaint, e:

*If you finish early
  1. Share with Mr. M so that he can print it out to make the class look awesome.
  2. Post your acrostic poem onto your blog.
  3. Comment on the acrostic poem of a friend.
  4. Create an acrostic poem for a special member (like your mum, dad, aunty, uncle or grandparent hint, hint brownie points people!).
Magnificent at maths because I like maths.
Interested in things that I’m new to.
Art is my favourite subject.
Yams are good when they are cooked with honey and ginger because sweet tasting.
Enthusiastic on things that I like to do.
Eggs are good when the yolks are runny.

Magnificent teacher
Really intelligent person


Might give you a gumball one day
Awesome and amazing
Totally into Doctor Who
Thinks that brussell sprouts are delicious
Has coffee EVERY morning
Enjoys it when people tell me a GOOD joke
Windy after eating beans for dinner

  1. Hi Mia. I love your poem. You may need to look at how you save onto your blog as your poem is on twice. I am going to try your recipe for yam because to be honest I find them a little mealy in texture. I look forward to your next blog entry.
