SLJ - Tastes of Summer - Yum! :D

Hey Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog!

And to another SLJ post!

If you don't know, the Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) is some activities that you can complete over the summer holidays. By completing the activities and commenting on other SLJ participants you can earn. Earn enough points and you can win some prizes!

Today's SLJ activity asked me to make a collage of summer foods that me and my family enjoy. You can find the activity here on the SLJ blog.

I picked a few foods that are both from my own summer culture (Japanese) and some more traditional New Zealand summer food.

What summer foods do your family enjoy?
What do you think the theme is with summer foods?

Enjoy!

SLJ - Ultraviolet - Let's not get sunburnt! D:

Hello Viewers!

Welcome back to my blog!

Today's blog post is another SLJ post!

For those who don't know, the Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) is some cool activities you can complete over the summer holidays to earn points. You can earn points by completing the activities but you can also earn points by commenting on other SLJ participants. Earn lots of points and you could win some prizes!

Today's activity was called Ultraviolet. I learnt some things about what UV rays are and about when they are most harmful! They are mostly harmful in the summer so I make sure to put on sunscreen, wear a hat, stay in the shade, or anything to protect me from the UV rays that come from the sun. You can find the activity on the SLJ blog.

I made my own UV indicator for my home, using some cardboard and markers.

What do you do to protect yourself?
Do you have any tips for keeping yourself safe?

Enjoy!

SLJ - It's Cool to be Kind :)

Hello Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.

I've been busy these past few days and so I haven't had time to do any blog posts.

I'm hoping to cram in lot's of work this week before I get busy again afterwards.
So here's a SLJ post! (Finally... -_-)

If you don't know already, the Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) is a set of activities you can complete over the summer holidays. You can earn points by completing these activities and commenting. If you earn enough points you can win some pretty cool prizes!

Today's activity asked me to look at my blog and have a look at my comments, find one that's kind and leave a reply. You can find the activity on the SLJ blog.

I didn't have any fresh comments on my blog (I already had replied to all my comments) so I decided to pick one that I have done and screenshot it.

Do you leave replies?
Do you like bloggersations? I sure do!

Enjoy!

SLJ - Summer Haiku - A summer morning!

Hello Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.

Today's blog is yet another SLJ blog post!

For those who don't know, the Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) is a set of activities that you can complete to earn points. You can also earn points by commenting. If you earn enough points, you could be up to win some super cool prizes!

Today's activity asked us to create a Haiku about Summer.

A Haiku is a traditional japanese poem that consists of three lines. Haiku's are written about a certain topic, idea or theme. The first sentence must have 5 syllables; no more, no less. The second 7 and the third 5 again. You can find the activity on the SLJ blog.

I enjoyed making my poem! I generally enjoy writing, including poems. I have also written Haiku's before. I also like using descriptive language in my poems and writing.

Have you written a Haiku before? About what?
Do you enjoy writing poems?
What kind of poems?

Enjoy!

SLJ - Which one doesn't belong?! Well... It could be ALL of them...

Hey Viewers!

Welcome back to my blog.

Today's blog is another SLJ post!

Just to make sure everyone's on the same page here. The Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) are some activities that you can complete over the summer holidays. As you complete activities and comment on other SLJ participants, you get points. If you get enough points you can win some cool prizes!

So, today's one is called 'Which one doesn't belong?' You can find the activity on the SLJ blog.

I had some fun trying to think of lot's of reasons and I think I had a pretty good amount.
Also have a go at mine and leave a comment about it! It's on the first page.

What do you think doesn't belong in the one that I made?
Do you agree with my statements?
What kind of other things can you think of?

Enjoy!

SLJ - Insect Art - Meet the Yama bug!

Hello Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.

Today I will be talking about the Yama bug!
This is part of the SLJ.

Don't know what the SLJ is? Basically, the Summer Learning Journey (SLJ for short) is a range of activities you can complete over the summer holidays, not only is it fun, but it helps your learning stay or even improve over the holidays. BUT! As a bonus, you can even get some prizes if you do enough posts and comments.

This activity was set a few days ago, and I really wanted to do it, but I didn't have time that day. So instead I did it today!

It says to create a bug or summer scene out of twigs, leaves, petals etc... I decided to make mine a bug! I made my bug out of a leaf and twigs. You can find the activity on the SLJ blog.

Do you like bugs?
What sort of bugs?

Enjoy!

SLJ - OpTicAl iLLuSIonS

Hello Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.

Today I will be talking about Optical Illusions. This is another SLJ post!

If you don't know already, the Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) is some set activities to complete during the summer holidays. When you complete activities, you earn points that lead to some cool prizes that you can get. You can also earn points by commenting.

Optical illusions are really trippy! They make my eyes hurt looking at them for too long. It's also very challenging to create them yourself.

So for this activity I made an optical illusion, it's a pretty basic one that I learnt how to make in my math class a while ago. You can find the activity on the SLJ Blog.

How do optical illusions make you feel?
What do you think makes them so confusing?

Enjoy!

SLJ -Tānerore - Mountains, beach and nature, all in one!

Hello Viewers!

Welcome back to my blog.

Finally! Here's a second SLJ post!

For those who don't know, the Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) is a set of activities that you can complete over the summer holidays. As you do posts, you get points and there are some excellent prizes up for grabs. You can also earn points by commenting! So if you're a SLJ participant this year, drop down below and leave a comment!

Today, I did an activity called Tānerore. Tānerore is the son of Tama-nui-te-ra and represents the shimmering air in the light when he performs a haka to his mother. The shimmer represents the movements of the hands in haka and other waiata called wiriwiri. You can find it here on the SLJ Blog.

I had to make a kowhaiwhai that represents summer. A kowhaiwhai is a repetitive Māori pattern.

I worked hard on my kowhaiwhai and tried to use lot's of symbolism, it was a really fun activity and I enjoyed doing it a lot.

What kind of patterns do you like?
What kind of places do you see kowhaiwhai?

Enjoy!

SLJ - Your Comments Count... up to points! :D

Hey Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.

Yipee! It's the summer holidays and you know what that means! It's time to do some activities for the Summer Learning Journey - the SLJ.

For those who don't know, the Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) is a set of activities during the the holidays that you can complete to earn points. You can also earn points by commenting! If you can get enough points then you can be up to win some spectacular prizes!

Today's activity for the SLJ is called Your Comments Count, you can find the activities here on the SLJ Blog. It says to write a comment on a blog and describe why it's a quality comment.

Now I had a little bit of a problem.

I wrote a comment and published it to the blog like any other person. But then! I had to wait for an approval to be able to see my comment on their blog. So I'm not really sure whether this counts...

So since I can't really take a screenshot, I can show you the comment that I wrote.

Do you write comments?
What do you think it good about commenting?
Do you enjoy it? Why?

Enjoy!

Tyres aren't meant to squishy....

Hello Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.

Today I will be talking about tyres.

This is another homework blog post, it's about how to check tyre pressure in a cool video I made just for this blog.

I think that checking tyre pressure is important, afterall, no one wants to be riding a bike or anything with a flat tyre. It can be dangerous and can pop easier. So I would not recommend it.

Do you ride bikes often? I don't, but I ride my unicycle!
What do you like about riding bikes?

Also,

Tyre? Or Tire? Which do you use?

Enjoy!

Whitebait Media! Part 2. There's still no whitebait :(

Hello Viewers!

Welcome back to my blog.

Today I will be talking about Whitebait Media! Again...

This time, all of the year 8's went and we got a full tour around the really confusing hallways of the Whitebait Media building. I recommend reading the first post before coming to this one.

It was a really cool place, they had lot's of cool stuff! Including equipment for the Brain Busters TV show. I really enjoyed seeing all the cool things that they had and also being able to watch our final year 8's video properly!

Have you been on TV?
If yes, what kind of experience was it? If not, would you want to? Why?

Enjoy!

Whitebait Media! There's no whitebait sorry :(

Hey Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.

Today I will be talking about Whitebait Media. It is a tv show company, they film shows like What Now.
Sorry, we asked, but there is no whitebait at Whitebait Media :(

Yesterday we visited Whitebait Media to do some singing, to record the song for our year 8 leavers video! How exciting! The five of us, Nikita, Grace, Abby, Maddie and me went.

It was an interesting experience!

Have you done recording before?
What does it feel like? Scary? Exciting? Relaxing?
Which do you prefer, being filmed? or recorded by voice only?

Enjoy!

Puzzling over what to give as a gift to someone?

Hello Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog!

It feels like I haven't posted for while, probably because I haven't. So, sorry for the delay!

Today's blog is a homework blog.
This blog is all about choosing a gift that the receiver will  appreciate!

For me, I appreciate all my gifts, because all my gifts have really thought about. I think that it's important to think of how they would feel receiving the gift. I think that it's also important for the receiver to appreciate the gift as well.

What has been one of your favorite gifts? Why?
How do you choose gifts for others?
What do you think people appreciate about gifts?

Thank you! (To who...?)

Hey Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog!

Today's blog post is another homework one.
It is about 'How to write a thank-you note'

I never really thought about this to deeply, mostly because I've never needed to write one (although I have received a few). I think it's mostly because I say my thank you verbally. So it was interesting to look into this a bit more.

Have you written a thank you note? What for?
Why would you write a thank you note? Who to?
When do you think you might use it?

Enjoy!

Everyone's a builder... somehow

Hey Viewers!

Welcome back to my blog.

Today I will be talking about our Cybersmart session with Miss Morgan. Today we learnt about what kind of internet media is fake and why it is fake. Then, we went to finding a quote (that is actually said by the person) and illustrate it. Here is the instructions for this on the Uru Manuka Site.

I chose a quote by Milton Berle, and American comedian and actor.

What do you think we need to look out for when looking at media?
What kind of tips can you give about images and text?
How can you find proof?

Enjoy!

Read. This. Sentence. Very. Slowly

Hello Viewers!

Welcome back to my blog!

How long did it take you to read that sentence?
Probably not that long right?

Reading fast is good, it's smooth and feels good.

But!

Reading slow is really good practice too. So today, for my homework, I chose to do how to read slowly. I think that this was a HUGE challenge for me, since my typical speed is 300 words per minute. Which is above average. So reading slowly for me is quite challenging. But, I also think that I need to be able to do it more often.

Are you a fast reader?
Do you like reading? Why?
Why do you think reading slowly helps?

Enjoy!

Let's write an article!

Hey Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.

Today I will be talking about one of our Cybersmart session with Miss Morgan, you can see what we did on the Uru Manuka site.

We had to make our own article about Athletics Day this year.

Creating an article is not too hard, you just have to make it engaging and have the key points. Headline, Date, Image or video and of course the article itself! I found it fun, but the hardest bit for me was actually writing the article itself.

Have you written an article before?
What did you write it about?
Where do you see articles? Do you read them?

Enjoy!

Where would we be shouting and cheering really loudly? At NYLD of course!

Hey Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.

Today I will be talking about NYLD.
I'm sorry this came out late.

A few weeks ago on Friday, we went to NYLD, National Young Leaders Day. The year 7 and 8's and a few year 6's attended fro the day at Horncastle Arena. We all really enjoyed it, and found it entertaining and a good learning experience. We played games, listened and did a fair amount of shouting and cheering.

Have you been to NYLD before?
If yes, what was your favorite part of going? If no, then would you like to go and why?
What do you know about being a leader?

Enjoy!

I'm waiting right here... would you like to join me?

Hello Viewers!

Welcome back to my blog.

Today I will be talking about being able to wait and save for something.

This means to be able to figure out something you might want and to be able to wait, and save up (money, or maybe something else) to be able to get that reward. Even if it might be hard.

I think that I can wait for quite a long time for something because I show lot's of these 3 aspects that I have mentioned in the video.

Can you save up for something?
How long can you wait untill you might give up?

Maybe this video might change your mind and give you more time to be able to wait.

Enjoy!

Taking too long to find the book you want? well check out this blog :)

Hello Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.

Today I will be talking about how you can find a book in a library.
Some of you might know how to do this, or you might not.

Finding books can be hard in the library, especially when there are lots of books. I remember looking for quite a while trying to find a particular book. But once you understand the way that books are placed in the library, it makes a lot more sense.

Do you go to the library?
Do you like reading? Why?
What are some of your favorite authors?

40 synonyms of kindness!

Hello Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.

One of the activities that we have been doing for week 1 is Flow Fundamentals. There are 11 things every week, and then you have to do something with those 11 things and make it visually appealing on paper.

I thoroughly enjoyed studying these 11 things and trying to get creative to show my learning. This activity was challenging because you didn't get strict instructions, you only had the word, statement or video to start off.

This week's 11 things were...

So I did something with these 11 things!

Have you done something similar to this?
What is your favorite thing out of the 11 things?
What would you do for any one of these 11 things?

Enjoy!

(I'm very sorry if it's hard to read)

Spend your money wisely!

Hey Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.

It's been a while!
I hope you all enjoyed your school holidays and are up and ready to go for Term 4.

Today I will be doing one of the many homework activities this term.

This term's homework is 'how many old 'new' skills can you build?' There was a list of options of skills and I chose this one.

How to make a budget

It sounds pretty important, and it IS important so keep reading if you don't know how to do this already.

I found it an interesting topic to grasp onto and to learn about, I learnt a lot of new things and that I have to put first things first; think of what priorities there are. I also think that this is an extremely helpful thing to learn now so you don't have to put in lot's of effort to learn later :)

What do you think a budget is?
If you already know, then why do you think it's important?

Enjoy!

Camp Episode 1 - The first and probably last episode :)

Hey Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.

Today, I will be telling you about Arthurs Pass camp.
You may have noticed other students in Rimu doing a camp series on their blogs. Unfortunately, I was in Student Summit, and I was pretty busy, so I didn't get to do this, nor start it!

Instead, I mashed about 3 points together about camp that  I would've done if I was able to.

If you have been on camp, where did you go?
What were your favorite activities?
If you have never been, what would be something you would like to do?

Enjoy!

Teaching 48 people online is very, very, VERY challenging!

Hey Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.

Today I will be talking about Student Summit!
Which... was a lot different than the past few years I have been attending to it.

Instead of going to somewhere for part of the day and presenting or doing some learning from others, it was all digital. Students did Google Meet's and presented their presentation digitally because of the Level 2 restrictions.

Have you been to Student Summit?
Did you contribute to the Student Summit this year?
If you didn't, would you want to? And why?

Enjoy!

I have a dream... (of what? arrotscay? o_o)

Hello Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.

In Rimu, we are going to be writing our speeches. When I first heard about it, I got really excited because I like to make speeches and it's fun to present as well as choosing a topic I am passionate about.

But hold your horses!

(okay, I don't actually own any horses but if you do, hold them if you like -_-)

Before we start actually writing our speeches, we did an activity to put our minds into the 'ready-to-do-speeches' state. We did this by creating a visual representation that has the 6 tools from Mental Toughness for motivation!
The 6 tools are -

| Positive Thinking | Goal Setting | Attentional Control | Visualisation | Anxiety Control | Self Awareness |

We had to put some phrases or words that represent these 6, well, 5 because Visualisation is the drawing itself :) We used google drawings to create this. My dream for how my speech will go is that I am able to pick a good topic and to be able to engage with the audience well.

While I was creating the drawing I was constantly thinking about what others and what I will be doing my speech about. The hardest part of doing a speech would probably gathering information and actually writing a good speech. The easiest bit for me to do would probably be to present because I am a pretty confident public speaker.

If you would like to leave a comment for me maybe you could use these as your sentence starters...
Positive - I liked the way you...
Thoughtful - You brought me back to when...
Helpful - I noticed that...

Have you done speeches before?
Do you like doing them (writing & presenting)?
What do you find hard about speeches?

Enjoy!

Oh yeah!
and before you go (please comment first!) arrotscay means 'carrots' in pig latin. Everybody learned the language today :D

How do I make comments more interesting?

Hello Viewers!

Welcome to my blog.

Today we are going to be talking about comments and how you can make your comments even more interesting than just text. We learnt this is our cybersmart lesson for the confident group. Here is the link to the Uru Manuka site that will take you to our lesson plan.

To make this more interesting, I am going to teach you how you can add URL's to your comments. This way, we can add voice, or video recordings of you saying your comment.

How amazing is that!?

It took a few tries to properly get it working in the comment, but in the end it worked out perfectly. It's a really cool way to represent your comment than the usual text and it helps people to understand your feelings in the comment as well as making it easier to understand.

Have you heard this before? (I didn't untill now...)
Would you want to give this a try?
What do you think the benefits of this would be?

Enjoy the presentation!

Let's fish those voting skills out...

Hello to everybody on the other side of the screen!

Do YOU like poems, mysteries, news reports!?
Well then you are in for a TREAT!

Today we have 28 words, 28 entries!

And hopefully some votes from YOU!

Not too long ago we did a writing competition, it had three categories. News report, Poems and Mysteries. We had to use as many as the 28 words we wrote down we thought of the 'brain' so there might some very brainy entries in there (haha get it?).

We had to try to use as many of the 28 words while still fitting the category AND and making sure our work was NOT over 150 words. Easy for some but hard for some too.

This is where YOU come in!

Since this is a competition, we are going to need some kind of voting system. So, firstly, you must read the entries and vote for your favorite one in each category!

Voting closes on the 21st of August at 3 pm so get those votes in!

Storytime with Mia! You can't fall upwards right?

Hey Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.

Today I will be doing some storytime.
Basically, it's just me telling you some random thing I want to share with you.

Overall, all I did was think of something I like doing and shared it with you. It was interesting to think about the other person's perspective when I am telling them about it.

If you could do storytime sessions, what would you say? Why?
Who would you say it to?
Do you think it would be interesting?

Enjoy!

Imagine you are a spring...

Hey Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.

Today I will be talking about resilience.
Everything will be explained in the slide about what resilience is and some examples.

I learnt that resilience is really important, and that you when you make mistakes or when you feel under pressure is that you should have resilience and make sure you bounce back! I enjoyed learning about it and sharing it with this blog.

Do you know what resilience is?
What do you think you could have more resilience in?
How well can you bounce back?

Let's start super, duper, extremely, small...

Hey Bloggers!
Welcome back to my blog.

Today I will be talking about a really cool man called James Clear.
More information of him will be in the slide.

I will be talking about one of the few tips about making habits and keeping them that James Clear has found out about and made it so we can understand it easier. The tip that I have chosen is to 'start incredibly small'

Do you have some habits? Are they useful?
Is it hard for you to start a habit?
What kind of habit would you like to develop?

Quality comments are key!

Hello Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.

Today I will be explaining about what we did with Miss Morgan for our Cybersmart activity. For the last two sessions we have been working on quality comments. Firstly, you had to choose whether you were in the beginner, stepping up, or confident group, I went to the confident group. Then, out of the people in your group, choose 2 to 4 people to partner with. I worked with Abby and Grace, here are Abby and Grace's blogs. Here is the instructions on the Uru Mānuka site.

Overall, I thought that this was an engaging activity, although, I honestly though that it was mostly reviewing things that I already knew or have done. I did learn a few things here and there but they were most likely things that I have forgotten.

What do you know about writing quality blog comments?
Do you write comments on people's blogs?
What do you enjoy about writing comments?

Here is one of the comments we improved together.

Nine Stars of Matariki

Hey Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.

Today I will be talking about Matariki, this activity was called The Nine Stars Of Matariki.

We had to draw inside the star what each of the nine stars represent, or what we think represents. Each star has a different name and a different meaning to it.

I didn't know that all the stars had meanings. It was interesting to try to explain what the star means using a visual reference and no words, I had to think about how to represent them.

Have you heard of any of the meaning of the stars?
Do you know the names of them?
What do you think you might draw in some of the stars?

Enjoy!

Hey Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.

We had some certain tools and stuff that we could use to create a tower. I will explain this in the slide.

Have you done a marshmallow challenge before?
Was it the same one or maybe the rules were slightly different?
What do you think you would've done?

-7.2 Degrees!? Wow, that's cold...

Hey Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.

It's the holidays now and so I am doing the Winter Learning Journey (WLJ), although this time, the teachers will not be counting up points so this is merely for some fun over the holidays.

Basically, the Winter Learning Journey is something that you can do over the holidays, there are a set of activities that you can complete, they include Math, Writing and Reading and a spark of creativity.

The activity I chose today from this matrix was...

Which the answer to that is -7.2 degrees, hence the title.

I am sorry that this took so long to make! But I am truly pleased with the results.
Next time, I could probably try to add in some more description and different ways to order the words in my sentences.

Do you think -7.2 degrees is cold?
What do you think you might wear if it was that cold?
Do you like winter?

Welcome back to my blog.

Today I will be showing you how to create a graph using google spreadsheets in a really simple way!
This is the slide that I have created and here is the link to the video we watched to get an idea of how to create one.

Overall it was really successful and easy to use. I found the customization really fun and I played around with the 3d graphs and colour. Hopefully, this will be some use to me in the future.

Have you used google spreadsheets before?
What have you seen it used for?

Want to learn more about me? Then click this!

Hello Bloggers!
Welcome back to my blog.
A little while ago Miss Morgan came to our class and taught us a bit about copyrighting images.
This is the link to the copyright things we did.

After learning about unsplash and resizing images, Miss Morgan set us a task to make an all about me drawing, with different boxes to fill with images and pictures. We used images from Unsplash, some from the Explore Tool on Google Drawings to put together to make the cool drawing!

Overall, it was a fun task and I learnt a lot about Unsplash and images themselves. From now on I am going to be careful about the images I get from online and be mindful about where they come from and think before I use them.

I do not have a nickname so I have added my name twice :)

Do you know about copyright?
Have you made something similar to this?

A Brief History Of Time

Hey Bloggers!
Welcome back to my blog.

Today I will be talking about a book that I am reading called 'A Brief History Of Time'
It is a non-fiction book that is jam-packed with lot's of interesting facts about space, physics, and lot's of theroies.

Specifically today, I will be talking about what I like about the book and some of the things that they explain in it.

Stephen Hawking, the author of the book, was one of the greatest scientists (in my opinion), he made lot's of new theories as well as some amazing work, like this book.

Do you like science? Or space?
Do you like reading?
What is your favoriet book?

Enjoy!

Narrative Writing! :D

Hey Bloggers!
Welcome back to my blog.

Today I will be showing you part of my Narrative Writing I have done this week.

What is a Narrative you ask?
A Narrative is a type of writing that is made up, it's not real and it didn't actually happen. Most fiction books that you may read will probably be a Narrative.

Anyways,
I wrote a story inspired by a prompt, the prompt said -
'Write a story about someone who finds a magical portal in their home'

I think I did a good job of adding in descriptive language throughout my story and I also think I created tension well.
Although, my story does not take place at home, it takes place in a boarding school, so that bit I messed up.

Do you like writing?
Why or why not?
What kind of style of writing do you like to write in?

Enjoy!

Can fish talk? No... but it's a YES according to this story...

Hey Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog!

Today I will be showing you some of the writing work I have been doing over the week.

We have been doing some writing work based on some science type videos, we can either do a Tangible text or a Creative writing text.
Tangible means that it can be touched or felt.

Today I will be showing you two pieces of writing that I have done, one inspired from jellyfish and one inspired from a Basking shark.

Also! We are going back to school on Monday! So today is the last day of Online Distance Learning!

Have you heard of a Basking shark before?
Do you like writing? Why? Why not?

I didn't know roses had hips!

Hey Bloggers!

Welcome back to another blog post!

Today I will be talking about dissecting a flower.
I chose a rose that was growing in our garden.

Dissect means to take apart, or to cut open to study the insides of an living object or thing.

I know, it doesn't really sound nice does it?
Well, luckily it's a flower.

So I started by taking apart some of the petals, I even cut open the hip or the rose, which you will learn what that is if you don't know already in my drawing.

I made a google drawing explaining all the parts of the rose.
I also added some words in to describe the textures and looks.

I thought it was really interesting looking into what it looks like in a rose, it also had some really peculiar textures on the inside of it.

Have you done some similar things like this?
What did you do it on?
Would you like to try to dissect a flower too?

Enjoy!

Welcome to Term 2! It's kinda digital right now...

Hey Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.
Aaaaaaand! Welcome back to Term 2 everybody!

If I say so myself, it doesn't really feel like Term 2 actually started, since we aren't going to school. But, I am super happy that I was able to see the rest of the class, and teachers using Google Meet. Does your school use it too?

Okay! So, today's blog is about 'Still Art' It was really fun to do, and I really enjoyed how I was able to do it however I wanted. It was for one of the can-do activities, in my slideshow, it also explains, how you can do your own.

Have you tried 'Still Art' before?
If so, what was it like? did you enjoy it?
If you haven't, would you like to give it a go? Why?

Enjoy!

I'm so glad we have technology these days...

Hey Bloggers!
Welcome back to my blog.

Hopefully you're having some fun at home and enjoying the change.

Me and some of my friends sure have had to change our ways of doing things.

It's also a lot harder to try and figure out what to do when you have nothing to do. Especially because sometimes you are by yourself and there is no one to do stuff with.

Some of the work we have been set is some writing.
We have been asked to write a long write about 1 out of 4 prompts on a document.

I will be sharing with you one of them.

(As well as some work that me and some of my friends have been doing in out free time)

What have you been doing while you're at home?
What are some challenges?
What are some positives?

Enjoy!

Hey Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog!

Today's blog is going to be about what I do at manual/technology.
Currently, I am in a group called STEAM, which I will explain in my presentation.

Can you guess what it means?
Have you heard of it before?
Do you use it in your own learning?

Shutting it Down!

Hey Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.

Today's blog is about the Kawa Of Care.
What's the Kawa Of Care?

It is a set of rules and agreements that you need to agree to so that way you can use your device for school and for learning purposes.
Some of the rules are -
- Don't share your password, address, phone number etc...
- Hold your device with two hands.
- One device at a time.
- Shut down your device if you aren't going to be using it.

And a whole lot more!

Miss Morgan did a session with us on the Kawa Of Care.
She got us to get into groups and make an animation that explains one of the rules in the Kawa Of Care.

Me, Hana and Dion chose - Shut Down your device if you aren't going to be using it.

Do you know that Kawa Of Care?
Do you use the Kawa Of Care?
And why do you think it's important?

Enjoy!
