We had to make a poem that had a simile, metaphor, personification, Alliteration. The poem had to be about what you would put in your magic box.
The Magic box
I will put in the box,
A dancing fire from the sun,
A bottle from the witches cavern,
A glowing dark powder from the underworld.
I will put into the box,
A bottle containing the earth's established energy in the core,
A feather from the ancient moa,
The ancient greeks healing water.
I will put into the box,
A flashing light like a lightning bolt,
A piece of brass from the futures best trumpet player,
A feather from the pegasus.
I will put in the box,
The venom of the a snake bite,
An atom cut in half,
A horn from a unicorn.
My box is made from glass and shining brass,
The lid is embroidered with jewels and glitter, with feathers in the corners,
And hinges made from gold.
My box is a time machine, traveling through time and space
I will travel to the future and meet greatest things, and I shall end up in the jungle full of mysteries and caves.
Wow! What would be in a bottle from a witches cave? You have included some amazing imagery. You have set my imagination alight. This is the greatest compliment I feel that can be paid to an author. Thank you for sharing this imaginative poem. I do believe 'an atom cut in half' would be rather powerful. You will need to be very careful with such power.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to your next blog post.
