Hey Bloggers!
Welcome back!!
Today we will be breaking a bunch of windows.
This is one of the activities for home learning, and it is all about making 44.
Most of it will be explained in the slide...
Please note that even though this is a animation on slides, please don't just go, clicking through because you'll miss all the hard work of animating!
Which I call...
One slide animation.
Ask me any question in the comments about any of my equations (some are not maths)
So
Enjoy!

Hi Mia,
ReplyDeleteYou had some great ideas in how to make 44. My particular favourite was the one that involved a "bakers dozen." I wonder if you can make 44 using some of the symbols we have been using in class like square root and exponents? Thank you for taking the time to share your homework in a creative way. I look forward to your next post.
Ka pai Mia!
Mrs Taylor :)
Hi Mrs Taylor!
DeleteThank you very much for the kind comment Mrs Taylor. Yes, I was rushing to finish this so I tried my best. I will be keeping the creative way of presenting!

Another way to make 44 is to buy a Lotto ticket and imagine that you are going to win $1,000,000 dollars. One dreams of a new soundbar for the television and of making a donation to one's favourite charity. Then one goes to redeem one's winnings from the Lotto outlet to find that someone has subtracted $999,956 from the final amount. Voila! One is left with $44. Alas no soundbar.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your post. I really enjoyed it. I look forward to your next one.
Hi Mr Robertson!
DeleteThank you for a very funny comment! I might as well make a story out of this! I was giggling while reading it, but great math calculation! (unless you used the calculator).
I wonder what happened to the person who subtracted the numbers??
I'll save it for another story (which I probably will publish it onto my blog).
Thanks you!
Mia
