Term 3 week 1

This week is the first week of term 3 I was excited to go to school again. This week we had to make our own timetable and make a persuasive paragraph. I had mine from 8:30 to 4:00 (see my earlier blog post). We also did blog commenting for Cybersmart to look at some comments on blogs. Some of them actually started a conversation. But some had mistakes and more. There was also some that had just one word comments. This week was really busy doing lot’s of things and catching up and more. I thought this week was a really busy week.

In Rimu we had to make our own timetable. This is my timetable that I made. It will tell you the things good about my timetable at the end slide. What do you think about it?

This week we did rapped potatos in tin foil to bake for the afternoon after lunch. First we got some tim foil and put the potato inside, then we asked one of the older boys to cut a cross in the potato for the cheese and butter. Then we wrap it up in the tin foil tight and put it in a tray. After that we did some matariki activities. We colored in some hands that we traced of our hands that we cut out. There were lot’s of other activities too but I didn’t have time to do any of the other ones there. After that we, the seniors did kapa haka in front of the juniors. After that we had baked potatoes you could choose whether to have just cheese or cheese and butter and I chose cheese and butter. They were hot and yummy and the butter was melted and the cheese was sort of melted but it was still yummy.

This week we still are doing testing so we are still doing our timetable. We did cybersmart and we had to do a profile. We had to try to use other tools to make our profile. I stayed on the mat to get some ideas, us group on the floor most of us used thinglink. If you don;t know what thinglink is, it’s a place where you can add links pictures videos and more. You make little dot’s that if you put your mouse of it it will come up with some words that you wrote down. You can also change your background. You can also make your background on a google drawing then screenshot it then it is in your drive so you can upload it onto thinglink. Some of us used our name for our background but some people used their faces, but some other people used something else. We can also change the color of the dot and change it to different things too. I had a fun week and it was pretty normal week for me.
