SLJ - National Treasure

Hey Bloggers!

Welcome back to my blog.

Today I will be talking about some treasures!

This is one of the Summer Learning Journey activities.

Summer Learning Journey says to...

For this activity, we would like to learn more about the things that are important to you. On your blog, please share three things that you treasure and say why they are treasures to you.

Do you have treasures?
If so, what are they? are they physical objects? Memories?

Enjoy!

  1. Hello Mia, its me again! I see you are also doing the SLJ, the challenge is on!

I really liked your video as it was very creative and you also included why it was valuable for you. I also like the transitions and the music as well. You also included a lot of information in your blog post as well!

This reminded me of the things which I treasure the most and I know for a fact, my friends and family will defiantly be on that list with my green stone necklace as well which the teachers gave.

I think that you did an awesome job but you had 1 error and it was only one so that's fine but close to the end, when you asked a question, you forgot to add a capital letter. If you could fix that, it would make your blog better because it is already amazing!

    Awesome work!

Looking forward to your next posts,
    Parwin

    1. Hi Parwin! As you know my name is Mia. Thank you very much for commenting on my blog. It is truly awesome to have so many friends, family and other people viewing my blog.

Oops, I will make sure I fix that, I bet the teachers would tell me off for it :)

Did you like some of the other necklaces the other girl's got?
      Thanks again.

  2. Hi Mia,

Great stuff on completing another Summer Learning Journey blog post. Keep up the amazing work! I know you can do it.

Awesome Biteable video you have created. Biteable is a pretty cool app i think. I have just recently learnt how to use it myself.

Sounds like you have thought really hard about the 3 things you treasure. Isn't it amazing how attached you can become to soft toys. I have a teddy bear my Dad bought me back from one of his trips for work and I still really love that bear.
How cool, my cousin plays the trumpet too. Do you play in the school orchestra?

Until next time, happy blogging :)

    1. Hi Emma! It's Mia here! Wow! Thanks so much for commenting, it must be hard work commenting on so many people's blogs! I find replying hard enough.

Well, I play in an orchestra but it's outside of school, our school doesn't have an orchestra. But I also play Flugelhorn, have you heard of the instrument? I play in a band called Nor-west brass, out main-band recently moved up to a C grade for winning the National Contest, but i'm in the band below the main-band.

      Thank you so much again!

  3. Kia ora Mia, It's me, Amelia.

I liked the way you have made this really creative by putting a biteable onto it.

This reminds me of when I did this activity except I did completely different things for it.

I'm not sure what you could do to improve, maybe write something at the bottom of the video.

How long did it take you to do this blog post?

    Bye Mia, keep it up!

    1. Hi Amelia! As you probably know already, my name is Mia. First of all, thank you for taking the time to comment on my blog! It feels nice to know that it's not just the teachers looking at our blogs and that students and the community can enjoy blogs!

It didn't take me awfully long, I took some time waiting for the biteable to load, but I commented on others instead. Do you like using Biteable?

      Thanks!
      Mia

  4. Hi there Mia, Its Abby from school. I hope you are having fun blogging in the SLJ. I admit that I have only done one blog so far but it was fun to do.

This reminds me of other biteables I have done for home learning blogs and they were fun. Your biteable looks amazing.

Next time you could say a bit more about the Summer Learning Journey for those that might not know.

What kind of animal is Ellie?

    Kind regards,
    Abby.

    1. Hi Abby! You probably know my name is Mia. Firstly, thanks for commenting on my blog! I really like your advice for me and you positives. Ellie is an elephant, I'm not really sure why I name her Ellie but I have been calling her Ellie ever since, so it's now permanent.

What kind of soft toys do you have?
      Thanks again!
      Mia

    2. Hi Mia, Your welcome for commenting. Ellie Elephant is alliteration so maybe that's why it was appealing to your child self. I have lots of soft toys but I think my favourite one would be my teddy bear which like you I got as a gift for when I was born. Sadly it doesn't have a name, and I don't know who gave it to me.

If you could choose one memory from being with your toy what would it be?

      Kind regards,
      Abby.

    3. Hi Abby! Thanks for replying! There is a lot of good and funny memories with Ellie, but I remember this one time I said that I would take Ellie to Japan and mum said to me 'Are you going to take Ellie again?' and I said 'Yes!' that's how much I love that soft-toy.

Have there been any soft toys that have been passed onto you by your parents or family? Because I had this teddy bear that my dad used to have that got passed on to me.

      Thanks again!

    4. Hi Mia, thank you for replying to my reply. I don't think any toys have been passed onto me apart from one toy that Jorja gave to me when I was younger. Apparently it used to be hers and she kept losing it so it had to be replaced around 6 times. Do you always take Ellie to Japan? Again thank you for commenting your reply to my reply to my comment. It doesn't make much sense.

      Kind regards,
      Abby.

    5. Hi Abby! It's Mia here, back to reply again! Thanks for replying! Again... This time I didn't take Ellie to Japan, and the time before I think I took a hedgehog, the first time I wen to Japan I took a giant teddy (that was nearly as big as me!) and my uncle bought me a soft toy dog at the airport. The rest of the times it was Ellie though. Have you been on many planes?

      Thanks for replying!

  5. Hello Mia,
Its me Alan. I did not know you was in the summer learning journey.

Excellent job Mia. I really liked how you made the video.

This reminds me of when I did this but I did not do it like a video.

If you want to improve maybe you can put more pictures so that we can know more.
    Awesome work!
Looking forward to your next posts,
    Kind regards
    Alan

    1. Hi Alan! It's Mia here. Thanks for taking the time to comment on my blog. It is kind-of hard that i'm actually not in New Zealand right now and that I am in Japan, it's kind-of hard to get photos of the things that I have because, well, I can't get them! But I can try to make some pictures. What do you mean by I did not do it like a video?

      Thanks again!
