Narrative Writing! :D

Hey Bloggers!
Welcome back to my blog.

Today I will be showing you part of my Narrative Writing I have done this week.

What is a Narrative you ask?
A Narrative is a type of writing that is made up, it's not real and it didn't actually happen. Most fiction books that you may read will probably be a Narrative.

Anyways,
I wrote a story inspired by a prompt, the prompt said -
'Write a story about someone who finds a magical portal in their home'

I think I did a good job of adding in descriptive language throughout my story and I also think I created tension well.
Although, my story does not take place at home, it takes place in a boarding school, so that bit I messed up.

Do you like writing?
Why or why not?
What kind of style of writing do you like to write in?

Enjoy!

  1. Hi there Mia. I really like that you added cool fonts and played around with the format. It makes the first part of the story very interesting to read.
What do you enjoy most about narrative writing? What is your favourite style to write in? What kind of stories are your favourite to write? What is your favourite part of the story?
    Kind regards,
    Abby.

    1. Hi Abby! It's Mia here, back to reply. Thanks so much for the comment, I loved your appreciative positive feedback.
What I enjoy most about narrative writing is that I am allowed to write however, and whatever I like! It could be anything from a simple character to a made-up creature, person, setting, castle, anything I would like to make a picture out of! My favorite style is Narrative, my second would be Moment in Time I think. My favorite type of story to write is a fantasy type story, medieval knights, dragons, magical spells and stuff like that. I also like reading it as well. My favorite part of my story would be the ending, although, I did not have enough time to do the rest, but maybe I could upload the rest later?

      Thanks a lot!
      Mia

    2. Hi Mia. Thank you for replying to all my questions! I also really like writing in moment in time. I think that you should post the rest of the story if your proud of it! If you do post it I'm excited to read the story. Maybe for the rest of the story you could add some illustrations, I think your really good at them and with this story I'm sure that there are lots of different things you could make a picture of. What do you think would be your favourite kind of character or personality that you prefer to use? Or do you just use them all? I also like the names you use since they are different from names that you would usually come across.
Well good job on the story.
      Kind regards,
      Abby.

    3. Hello Abby. Thanks for replying. Yeah! I really should the rest and add some illustrations, I didn't really have much time this time though. I usually like to have my main character as a bold and fierce character, although, I use them all! I love to spread a bit of different personalities between each character, making them all unique, what about you? Yes, the names that I choose are usually quite unusal, but I would pop in some original names somewhere in there, but my main character usually has a unique name.

      Thanks!
      Mia

    4. Hi Mia, thanks for replying to my reply to your reply. Personally I just choose my characters personality to match the story. Since I only develop my characters to fit in with the story I'm writing. What would be your favourite author? Do you have one?
      Kind regards,
      Abby.
